  • Listen to a flat plane chevy small block..from 1959

I'd dual bank monitor all factory on y-pipe of the 96-99 vortecs, spider injection, the whole setup...attach it to an nv3500 and slap it into a shortbox. I am pretty sure you got the hp and torque backwards... low torque is the flat plane, higher hp. Incredible find.

Interesting! It sounds more or less like a flat head Ford. Those were big power numbers back in 1959.

first thing I compared it to.

I have always assumed the runtime the regualr crank became was to stay in control on the engineers terms.
I know in 3 main boxers, they are left very very runted on the air fuel.

the flat plane is still not self balanced, but it is cool to see the symmetry.. and hear a firing order.
