    Thin layered laminate bent then glued together, or maybe steam bending if it's not just a vinyl decal.

      yep thats my guess too--either thin stuff or steamed/soaked stuff.
      its amazing the way you can manipulate stuff if you figure out how....

        Awhile back I bought some oak in sheet thin enough to flex around corners, pretty tight ones if you went across the grain, even had pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. Gotta find a wood supply that deals in unusual stuff.

          I saw an episode of FantomWorks where they repaired a wooden wheel by steaming straight planks. Amazing what can be accomplished under the right circumstances.

            I have a nephew that built his own longbow using a steam box.... it's definitely an art!
