sadly yes i think almost all of us feel that way about (ugh...) "millenials"....

anyway, thank you to ALL that serve/have served/will serve. went to put
flowers on grandpas/grandmas grave earlier today, it was crowded.
makes me sad that so many only remember the ones that are gone on
major holidays, the rest of the time they cant be bothered to go bring a
    few flowers.

as i said in my head to grandpa & grandma when i was there this morning-
i wont forget. you are still important, you still matter, youre still here even if
its only in my heart and mind.....

I'm jaded, but the millennials think everything is free of charge. They have no idea, no clue. They take everything for granted. Their physical health included. Somebody had to fight and die to make this country what it is. They don't realize that.

A day I respect for those that think the spirit of this eagle is there for america instead of the death it smells in reality.

I must be getting colder as i get older...
but someone has to do it.

I fully understand your sentiment...I was taught much the same, but, after losing so many of the veterans that formed my love of this country to the point where i joined, I realized that I should thank veterans every day... as far as the difference between active duty and veterans, the only difference is recruit training (Boot Camp)... after graduation, we have all served as brothers and sisters of the blood that courses through this country's veins! And, PLEASE, thank the veteran's families as well...They share the sacrifices made by the service member! Whether it be Separation, Anxiety, Stress, PTSD, or any number of disabilities...The service member never comes back from duty the same as he or she went in...

Yes, thank all who served and who are serving. They certainly aren't in it for the money - we need to remember that.
