  • I'm Losing My Mind, It's Official

My still shot camera is gone. I lost it inside of the house, I haven't been anywhere. POOF, vanished from right there where it lives. And I've worn out my good steps for today looking for it, it's gone. I have no idea. That's disturbing. It'll be a while before I post any more photos because I have no still shot camera. I mean, that thing's GONE. To somewhere invisible. Vanished.

We are a collective mess over here. Sue can't walk, I can walk about 100 feet before I collapse at the knees. Even Kenny the Cat is not much good. There's a rabbit out in the back yard every bit as big as he is and he was out on the back porch looking and he didn't even notice it. We're worthless.

Never mind, I found the camera. It was about a foot and a half from my ass underneath the computer chair, so cleverly concealed and camouflaged that I would have never found it had I not been making a conscious effort to gather up cat hair from around the computer station.

Have you had your house checked for radon gas?

At least it was a small loss (the mind I mean, not the camera....)

Methane is far more prevalent, we know that for sure.

Okay, I'll play. What does radon "do" if you have it? And if you do have it, what do you "do?" Just move? We can't "move" because we can't move. It's far more imminent that this whole rig of a house will fall into a sinkhole, it's already doing it but real slow.

Actually, I was mistaken. I thought it might have something to do with you and SueUnit's mobility problems. It's a radiation thing.

And if you did have it it's possible to ventilate your house and get rid of it - there are specialists who do that work. Don't hire the local handyperson. And Ed probably has a point that it's worth checking as Lowe's and HD have kits to do it (you can send Superman Jr. under the house with the kit and have him retrieve it according to the directions). Some areas of the country are prone to the stuff and some areas aren't and I have no clue about your neck o' the woods. It may be nothing but worth knowing anyhow.

That map is so busy I had to get my magnifying glass out - I haven't lost that yet. So far today. But I think we're at 0.0. I think. Please don't go find a map that shows sinkholes, I don't want to see that one.
