  • Engine Paint

So I have to pull the engine our the Franken-Riv because of a leaking rear main seal. I think I'm going to paint it Buick Green because the currently black engine just gets swallowed by the black engine bay.

Question is, do I rattle can it or do I paint it with a foam brush? Engine will be on a stand and I'll be sure to clean the crap out of it before I paint it.

    Thoughts?

make sure the paint doesn't dissolve the foam brush first?

I've been using automotive paint lately, and using a spray gun. it costs a fortune for the paint, though.

Cleaning is important. Also if the new paint lifts the old paint, life will be difficult
