The first generation of the Camaro WAS the best. The last one positively sucked.

Depends upon your definition of 'best'.
Any numbskull can say "THIRD dude", too.

According to my son, who's only exposure to american cars growing up in England was watching Hollywood movies, Gen 3 Camaro = Murderer's Car.

I loved my third gens.... would like to do another one.... may not have been the most loved shape, but brought it back to being a performance car... have you ever driven a second gen with a 305 and an automatic??? between that and the suspension, it felt like everything was attached with rubber bands....

                            I remember cars for changes.

the tpi on the 305, I loved it.
I joked to say 5 liters was the future.
early 90s for me .. maine is slow.

the last 305 is a 306, and 5.3 and 4.8 are the now.

I hated the body build... I am pretty sure even gm admitted that the same.
the way the rear end had to be kept together , the flexing.

I keep it in my mind like 96-99 gm trucks.
I can never hate them in my lifetime.

1989 IROC, maroon, t-tops. Got lemoned because it kept bending the frame when the tops were off. Not sure I really miss the car, but that summer was epic.
