  • Scott Clark ouch

Court judgement of 11 million plus court cost.
    Won by a Megasquirt vendor/builder.

Hoffmann/DIY has secured an $11,000,000 judgement against engine tuner Scott Clark/Realtuners

Anyone got the details of what he did to cause this ?

My assumption is you can't get blood from a turnip. But I am sure this will follow him for many years. I don't know what went down but it is a shame it did.

Scott does what he does, possibly better than anyone else in the business. He deserves to get rich from it, which I doubt he is. Too bad others want to as well. Glad I was born too early to be a genius EFI tuner. It looks like a tough gig.

Oh, the question, what he did. From what I can see he started doing tunes and teaching others how to do them on his own while he was supposedly under exclusive contract to DIY. The fact he put so much effort into teaching leads me to believe ne never wanted to get rich, but now it looks like someone did.

But I think you knew all that already. So... What's REALLY on your mind?

yes that was the story. I felt bad... but its a shark world , the newfound realm of tuning.
I hope he does ok through all of this.

The entire case is all about ego, and honestly, I don't think one was 'worse' then the other - but here's the problem, once you get behind the ball and ignore a Court's order... nothing is going well.

That said, now that it's a judgment, it can likely be discharged in bankruptcy and they all can go on doing whatever they were doing before.... all that work, *poof* ...

Well , I believe , and this is just a guess that Eric is Big Al ( who I do like ), and I seem to remember them getting into it so it's kind of a last laugh thing . And I get that .

I'm anything but a fan of him but I hope he learns from this goes forth and conquers. All of us at one point or another have been an irritant.... not me, of course, but everyone else
