Craftsman Series should run the jumps and those rules.

Stadium trucks racing is AWESOME! The chassis flex more that the first uni-bodies ever did. Sort of reminds me of quarter migets doing wheelies off the corners.

no back pain... they ride very nicely (until they don't but that's usually just before and during an endo)

I wonder about the tire tech and how they regulate them. They sure grind up a LOT of rubber.

If they bottom out, hurts. But can they be calibrated to stay off the bump stops?

This is an interesting read. No wonder the guys drive those trucks like they stole 'em. And yes, landing hurts the back if you land on all 4 wheels at once.

with progressive shocks.... it really isn't a huge issue - even the bump stops now are not a solid hit but a shock too

Let's describe what you're seeing.... each of those tubes relate to a section of the shock and how much damping it provides... it's adjustable both by disks and nitrogen pressure

then you have the bump stops that are actually shocks.... each portion of that shock and damper is adjusted so that its reaction to the movement of the suspension is choreographed

so now look at this - he uses air shocks (which set ride height with air), quad bypass shocks with coil overs and hydraulic bumps .... each part is tuned for a specific portion of the travel.... so the idea that you'd break your back on a landing would require a lot more air then they're getting on that course

Yech! The more I read of that article the less I like it. Go Carts. No wonder they crash so much and there's no innovation. And of course Robby's will always be a bit more standardized than the rest.
