The corvette is a huge motivator, he will master the in and out skill, with PT dad's continued support and encouragement. You are doing great, John.

SO great to hear. Starting over is always difficult but you both seem up to the challenge.

Haven't posted anything because we're kinda at a standstill, I thought standing up and walking were going to be tough, NOT! Now that his spine is straight and can't bend he's kinda like everyone else except he's used to a 75-80% curvature, so what's become the biggest hurdle is getting from a laying position and getting into the car. He was progressing well then something clicked. We'll overcome this, next week we start seeing his Physical therapist again who is very good and even in his mind he respects her. Come HRPT he'll be back to getting in and out of the car on his own again!

Recovery is a long road fraught with pitfalls and setbacks, but wins too.
