They've been blogging this on the front page, but it should be here too... who hasn't wanted to own their own race track?

sad that it closed, cool that this one is coming back with (hopefully) a workable business model.
also, what amazing owners - I've closed businesses and usually what's not nailed down is removed (sometimes with valid reason, others because they're immoral), that track was ready for them to turn the switch back on. Those closings are the saddest, but I pray that the people who had to close get full good points for being moral and hopeful. Garrett has saved the track, but the prior owners made it possible.

The one thing I worry about is how many tires they burn up . How long will it be till their "factory " is labeled a gross polluter and gets shut down . I wish him every success. I really like the race stuff the most . Leroy, Ruby , Nascar truck , I did like the initial build up of neighbor but really don't care for drifting or burning up of tires just for the sake of a smoke show . Hope maybe someone will pave it for the opportunity to hold races there to supplement the factory's income .

I have been out to watch the races a couple of times. Pretty fair racing but half the bleachers are unsafe and the track has been patched up a lot. Really needs a repave.

I wish him well ... it takes a Special Type of Crazy to Put Your Nuts in a Vice and Go For It .....
by creating a venue .. he will be very helpful to the local Police to Get it off the Street
