          Yeah, that was a Ford push to the win gone awry. Man, Newman got hit right through the driver's window while he was sliding upside down. I went to bed thinking he couldn't have survived that one.

            Not a NASCAR guy but I sure hope he pulls thru OK. Nasty looking crash for sure.

                Just saw him walking out of the hospital with his daughters on the TV news! Talk about a miracle.

                  Not a miracle in my world. Like the LSR rules, NASCAR has had a lot of wrecks and human carnage and they've learned from it and put rules in place to make wrecks, as much as possible, survivable. That said, things sure could have gone wrong and I'm VERY glad that they didn't. BTW, I heard that the car is now in Mooresville where it's being examined to see if they can learn anything else to make the cars safer. I('d like to know how that fairly small fire started.

                    I got annoyed with the coverage. Just "critical condition" with no specifics. I was imagining all kinds of broken limbs and burns. Glad he is O,K, now.

                      Most of what I heard said he was in critical, but not life threatening, condition.
