I washed Red yesterday and I left him in the driveway pointing toward the street. Last night it came a big storm and that one biggest pine tree behind the back fence blew down. It centerpunched Red, nose to tail. His roof is mashed down to the tunnel and his wheels are all sticking out sideways like on a cartoon. I can't take a photo of it because my camera is in Red's glove box.

Guys, I never shoulda, and I won't do it again. Nossir, that April Fool thing. Nope. That old dead pine tree didn't fall on Red. At about 11:00 tonight it fell on the damn house. Golly whoppers whatta thunder explosion noise. We're just fine. Startled somewhat. Of all the directions it could ever fall on a perfectly calm night... Those white sparkles are all of the insulation still hanging in the air when I took the photo.

sorry for the tree/house deal, i suppose as long as no one
got hurt its relative-houses, cars, material items etc can
be replaced. still sucks though!

Holy geez Pee -- that really sucks - glad you're all safe. Here's hoping your home insurance is good.

We got a brand new free skylight installed in the puzzle room. Cool beans! Those folks who advertise on TV, the folks who say, "Like it never happened." They're coming. We'll see.

Bummer dude! Gives a different meaning to "Tree House" doesn't it? Some folks thought we were nuts when we deliberately bought our house with no trees on the property but it has turned out to be a good choice.

Thanks for all the glad we're okays guys! Yeah, that coulda been worse all kind of ways. I've never filed an insurance claim before, I was sitting here on my thumbs all morning not even knowing what to do. The recovery's gotta happen in steps, as described by the insurance guy. I had no idea. First thing, get the tree off of the roof. Tree guy on the way to scope that out. That's step 1.
