First bike I ever rode was a 1970 Yamaha HT1 90. It was purple and I thought I was big time. lol

The Post Enduro Association board met and voted us in last week. However the landowner is temporarily limiting the number of members so we are not 'full' members just yet.

I'm in a local off-road club that owns several acres only for riding and has a limit of 75 members.
The membership cap is due to prior legal issues with the rural community where the land is located. A few years back we were way under 75 members. We have had a wait list now as popularity has grown.

BBR, that desert terrain looks like so much fun. Up here in Michigan and Wisconsin the good riding is very tight, and wooded single track.
Here is a one of the routs through our club land.

This is what it is like out there. This vid is from the 2020 Caprock Canyon Enduro. Not so many big trees, mostly mesquite with big flesh eating thorns and bushy bar grabbing cedars.... and rattlesnakes (in the warmer months).

That stuff in Texas is similar to what we have in the north west of Victoria, we may have a bit more sand.

I'm the poster boy for whiskey throttle. A true danger to myself and everyone around me on a motorcycle. I ride a mountain bike like a wild man or at least used to. Just posting this because I saw guys race them at Monroe flat track years ago. Speedway guys are flat ass crazy!!!

One of my biggest regrets was not being able to try riding a speedway bike! Always loved the cushion.

                      FYI,
At Torque Fest in Dubuque, Iowa every year, they have vintage flat track bike racing.
I think the Clubs Name is "Brainless Bastards"
their motor: NO Brakes, No Suspension, NO BRAINS !

Judd and I rode the Caprock Canyon Enduro today. We had a great time, but are really tired and sore. Crashed a few times. Mostly turning right. Go figure. Fell into a prickly pear patch once and wasted about 20+ minutes in a timed section removing cactus needles from my hand, arm, side and back. That suuuuuuucked. Judd did great, it was his first enduro and my first in 6 years. The course was soooooo twisty and was super rough. It was a workout. Total mileage was 61 miles and I am currently feeling every single one of them. There were parts that I was really missing the power delivery of my old KDX200, but those nasty switchback silty hills were not among them.

Pic of Judd at the first Gas Stop 25 miles into the ride.

Not terribly moist. I put about 5 minutesnon him in the first test and I think 4 in the second. It was in the high 40's at the start and warmed to mid 60's. I never really got hot.

Me at second gas with a nice red dirt goatee. Haha.
