Well, about a year later and I'm finally a member of the Post Enduro Association. Kinda late, but I's not super easy to get in, so I felt like I should at least give it a try. 24000 acres of riding area. Hope I don't get lost. lol
I had to replace the fuel inlet o-rings on the 450. For some reason Keihin thought the fuel inlet needed to swivel. I don't know why. It should have been an easy job but the screw was tightened to about 200 lb.ft. I had to use a impact driver (the kind you smack with a hammer) to get it loose. So yeah, I fixed my carb with a hammer. Haha
Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

FYI,
Japanese Engineering ?
If you look, two things happening here.
Some times they put a Thread Lock on ALL Screws.....
Another thing that happens is the cadmium plating on the screw has Electrolysis going on with the Diecast Aluminium.
Back in My Dirt Bike Racing Days (back when I young and thought I was Invisible,....LOL)
we pulled EVERY screw out of a NEW Motorcycle and replaced them with hardened Allen Head Screws, Engine, Frame, Lights, EVERYTHING...
Even New they were a "Bitch" !!

I picked up a little 125 when I came out here to the desert but I figured out pretty quick the terrain wasn't for me. It ain't like landing in the dirt if you go down. The rocks imbedded into the ground will rip your leg off. Very hard coarse surface.

hey BBR, that a 450CRF youre on? watch the oil religiously, if you see
any gold flakes or slivers get ready for an EXPEN$IVE overhaul..
my brother had one for a short time (like 4 months, went back to the
2 stroke CR500R for many reasons.....) the poor guy who bought the
450F from him got like 3 rides on it and found the 'gold dust' in the
oil, (usually big end rod bearing) and it seized next ride...
ouch.

That's a great mid-air picture! I could never get to that level of jumpiness, I could road race inches apart from others with my knee on the ground, no problem, but launching off the earth was a bridge to far. LOL. I was just spending a little time getting my Husky ready for spring, still much winter remaining unfortunately, I want to ride!
Interestingly, back in '05 I was competing in a local SuperMoto series, in the winter we would do this to stay sharp and have fun. I do want to resume this!
