        Totally agree, got to see him twice in Mobile, AL, got to shake his hand the second time, it was a thrill then and still is.

              He did some stuff! Most folks claim he was from Wilmington but he was from Leland, NC, right across the river from Wilmington. He was related to Terry Russel's wife, BTW, cousin, IIRC. He will be missed, especially in these parts.

                  this world is certainly worse off without him - what a talented guy! I love so many of his songs..... who doesn't know "uneasy rider" that's a real classic - for those of you old enough to know - it was the "b side" of the devil went down to Georgia 45 record.
                  There's always something new to learn.
