If it had some pics of the engine, then yeah, 55k would be a bargain.

I'd do it
you know those questions that pop up like
"what car would you get from the year you were born."
I said 455 H.O...and the car in the ad are the colors in my head.
I suppose a buyer willing to pay has some odd thing like that in their motivation.
aside from history of course..
he ls6 got way too much attention.

It's definitely not a Saginaw...note that reverse is on the tail housing, and that it has a large yoke. Either M22 or Super T10

(thats where a ST10 always breaks, from the bottom driver side tailshaft bolt/midplate
junction, thru the 'grand canyon', to the rear bottom bolthole of the shift fork cover...)

thanks, it's been a while since I worked on either, so I don't remember all the details.

$55k can be a bargain if something is worth way more than that for some reason, but it still can't fit in my budget EVER so the point is mute. Also, I'm not the guy that will probably ever buy a rare high dollar muscle car like that. Why? Because for me I would rather have a clone so I don't feel bad about the stuff I'd do to it. I'd gladly have one that looks like that but with 500 plus cubic inches of Poncho under the hood and stuff done to it to make it fast and fun but "feel" like the real thing.
