This seems like the 1960s all over again
Ford GT kills Ferrari
Then Ford builds the "05" mustang
The Ford GT gets canned
Three or four years later Chevy and Dodge have rivals for the mustang
Ford has shelby help built a GT500
Ford plans new packages to compete with Chevy and Dodge
The ZR1 comes out
Big engines are becoming mainstream
The big american 4 door is somewhat popular (chysler 300, caddy cts)
Street racing gets crazy
Gas prices rise BIG time, with projections of $4 per gallon
The goverment starts making more "i hate car" laws for the future (safety, gas regulation, other crap)
still to come:
muscle cars get canned
ecoboxes are the norm (well this is already kinda happening)
a bunch of car junkie hot rodders say "screw high gas prices, im building a hot rod"
I feel like history is almost directly repeating itself.... its good and it sucks at the same time.

,..... me and 3 of my buddies voted for Ford,.. I think he got like another 7 votes nation wide. Dig out your old Hot Rod magazines from the 70's,.... the sky was falling then too.
