          nah. i TOTALLY get it.
my sandlot, my ball, and im taking my ball and going home.

i have drilled holes in blocks, cut heads apart, smashed
intakes and headers with a sledge, kicked in hoods doors
and fenders when ive had it with cheap @sses.

its fun listening to the "oooh NOOOOO why did you do that
i woulda took it instead" and explaining that its BECAUSE
you didnt want to pay, you only want it free or next to free,
and nobodys gonna benefit or profit off my bad situation
          unless its ME.

pay up. or not. at a certain point, IDGAF and i get more
satisfaction out of them not getting it because they acted
like a [email protected], than whatever $$$ i was asking for JUST
because they tried to strongarm me.

immature? maybe. its MINE. dont wanna pay what i want?
then you dont get it. not even after im gone and you come
by to pick the trash thinking youre going to score...
bet that guy was REALLY bummed when he found the 454 block--
and then found the hole in the side of the block / waterjacket
          from the 10 pound sledge.......

I would laugh and say yeah , you showed everyone . Your 9ut a car and tomorrow no one will care you cut it up . If your " investing " your money , you don't want to put more in it than it's worth . What it's worth is what you can get out of it . I've got more 8n my vettes than I can get out of them at this point, probably even the suburban, so I'll just keep them and drive them . I can comfortably say that I can depreciate 1500 dollars on a car a year to get me around . Basically if i buy it for 1500 and it gets me around for 12 months , it owes me nothing .

The question is: "What will buyers do NEXT TIME you sell something?". Of course if they don't know you it won't matter unless you provide evidence you are the "Pay up or the stuff DIES" guy. If they do know you will they even bother trying to cut a deal or walk away/ignore you? I seriously doubt anyone will pony up more cash just because you are the bringer of doom to second hand merchandise.

Those cars both had major liabilities. The Camaro was "just a roller". The Charger was a 500 from a year 500 was only a trim level and RUSTY. A grand or two would have been a grand or two those two dudes don't have and might need now..

Whatever happened to ENJOYING giving someone a good deal and expecting the same in return?

One tantrum like that and I'd be going down the road knowing I'd be paying top dollar or getting screwed by a guy like that.

Good luck selling anything in the future, hothead!

I'm probably the guy that when he let me know that he was the guy that would cut it up before he'd let a guy have it for less than he wanted , would be the guy that'd low ball him to let him know that I will not be the guy that is going to rescue his stuff from him . I might even hand him a pack of new blades . For 100% less than they're worth !

we all know the type. You can't convince them that they're asking gold prices for scrap metal. Neither of those cars were top shelf, but when the market speaks - they get mad. Most often I see/hear it from my friends in the country. They have a ratty square body that HAS to be worth 10k. They get mad when you tell them, "you know, I sold a square body for 8500" (you even attach a picture*.... black, everything works, turbo diesel, lifted, nice wheels.... theirs has been a hay truck that was treated poorly...equal parts arrogance "we're better then those city folks" and stupidity - never realizing that they're the joke.

I agree with FGZ, it's their sandbox and their toys.... I don't really see anything that valuable getting destroyed... heck, if that irritates you...
there are people whose entire YouTube channel is destroying nice things.....

heck, even he points out that people go burn down their own towns because they're mad about something that happened 2000 miles away.... to me, it's a waste, but I also agree with whistlin' diesel, it really is just a car. I hope they're happy - really doubt it - but I have a graveyard of skeletons in my closet so who am I to judge. In both of their cases, I hope they found relief.... sure didn't sound like it, sounded more like a nervous breakdown stemming from unreasonable expectations coupled with the unwillingness to admit they made a mistake.

*ironically, I don't go to the square body forum for a fight with someone who I'm still not sure what they were so mad about.... *shrug* I don't have to get caught up in their negative vibes.

My first impression, and I bet I'm probably not far off. The guy is a Douche Rooster and I feel dumber for having seen whatever tantrum that was.

When VCR's first came out, buddy took one in trade and wanted $100 for it.. Guy wanted to buy it back (wife did not like the idea he traded the "new" vcr...kept trying to buy it for $25.. Me being a smart azz offered $50 in an attempt to get the guy to uo his price, didn't work.. Buddy went upstairs inthe office and dropped it on the concrete.. 2 purposes.. Guy did not get to screw mybuddy and did notget his vcr back

How many times can a crybaby ask; "Are we there yet"? How many times can a mature adult say; "Not yet"? Who will win?
