Thanks to warning I have never ruined a pair of socks. I think I got them at northern tool. A pair of sleeves have been my best welding purchase. I think they were less than $10Comment

I don't weld, I stick metal together with electricity and leave it looking like a cat pooped a booger and somehow binds metal together. Then I wear out grinders and stones making it look less like cat poop boogers. Always wear steel toes, even my go to town shoes are steel toe Redwings, so I don't have burned socks and feets.Comment

Dan bought me a complete cover the head leather welding helmet cuz I am shiny on top and we were putting 2 cars together to make 1 with lots of underneath welds up on the lift in his Ann Arbor garage. I still have the thing. It comes out yearly at Halloween. It makes the kids look twice... and saves the 2 hairs leftwhen I need it these days.Comment
