oh perfect... they want to put a parking ticket on it.

On the other hand, good news. I didn't realize there is a fourth book in the Space Odyssey series, so I have something new to read.

That is not the only definition, of course. Mono is Latin for "one" or "single". Lith is Latin for "stone".

Those wildlife guys did what should have been a MythBusters episode by accident. They proved that counting sheep definitely does NOT make you go to sleep - they all looked wide awake to me, awake enough to shoot a video.

I'm with Jim on this one. I suspect that eventually they'll find an artist who was messing around hoping for this very result. Or it's space aliens......

Yes it can, and mysterious as well.
We lived 40 miles south of KC for 20 years or so, and the rolling hills there are rocky just below 5 or 6 inches of topsoil.
One day I noticed a formation of stacked stones about 2 feet high on one of the cuts the highway made through the countryside. In a few days, I noticed several more similar formations a mile or so to the north.........all on the west side of the highway. Before 2 months had passed, they ran nearly 20 miles, on the west side of the highway, some more elaborate than others, but all similar, like two-dimensional pyramids. Then one day, the number of them quit growing........I never did learn what they were, what they represented, or who put them there.
Art, or bread crumbs?? Who knows?

So our tax dollars are paying men to go out and count sheep in the wilderness? Seems like a waste. Most people count sheep for free.

It's a state department, so unless you live in Utah stop bellyaching.
