My buddy Dan has been building an EV Subaru. Very cool project. Check it out.

Very neat! If it will run at "highway speeds" now, it's better than the original!!! I think this was the first car (rear seats) I ever heard described as not having enough cam to hurt itself. May have been Freiburger who said run it until it knocks and shift.

That is a really clean conversion, and... hey, wait, pretty sure I've met his brother. It took me a minute but the paint booth made it click. I see they both have the same build / work ethic. Great stuff indeed!

Yeah, you met his older brother, Pat.

Those guys do things right. If it was me, I'd get to working mechanically and move on. Never messing with painting and all that "make it pretty" stuff.

Best of all, no head gaskets to blow.

I've done several Suby head gaskets with my oldest bro. There is a fail-safe option these days and they last forever. Just sayin'.......

I'm surprised how small the battery packs are now. Makes me feel a lot better about the future. At 40, it's realistic I may have to implement something like this into my classics if I want to continue to enjoy them through retirement. Obviously, I'm keeping them all v8s as long as possible, but I like options are out there for down (hopefully way down) the road from now.

Very cool project! Also, being an 80s/90s kid, I actually love the colors/graphics. Ironically, when they were new, I thought they were stupid, now I like them

I wish they would build new ones. I told the guy at the dealer call me and I will be the first one there to buy it.
