We moved last December, although we still own the old house. I finally got the rest of the stuff out of the shop, with the help of a local auction company. Today I got to sweep the whole floor of the shop, first time that's happened since 1993.

    looks weird.

probably feels weirder... no scoreboard. Nothing orange. I feel weird just seeing it.

Wow, I bet that was a huge job, with stuff squirreled away (pun intended) in every nook and cranny.

        Good times were had there.

Let's hope good times will happen at the new SquirrelWorks location!

          thanks, I hope so.

Yeah, I've been thinking about the stuff that happened there, I definitely did something.

The auction for the stuff I didn't take, was over 500 lots. A whole bunch of stuff squirreled away! but now it's all gone, and I can relax...sort of...

With the input of those 'project bucks' I don't think you'll relax much........more opportunities ahead!

Moving out of my Ann Arbor shop was tough but it had to happen. I'm guessing we had similar feeling at that point. The shop here has its charms but I sure loved that facility in A2 - Dave G and I had lots of great times there. Hope you enjoy your new life and continue to do those interesting things that you do.

Yes old shops bring back fond memories. New shops bring the promise of new victories in whatever way, and new highs in our efforts to create our visions of perfectionfor whatever we undertake in our hobbies. Clearing out the old, especially if like Squirrel you make $$$ at it, has a certain sweetness and also a sadness. Thinking of the times in all of the shops both mine and others like Dan's A2 shop, remind me ofwhy I sometimes put up with the occasional busted knuckles and backaches (more of those lately than I care to admit).

Just think, you now get to start over collecting the flotsam and jetsam we all seem to acquire. Hopefully your significant other is like mine, and just shakes their head when you bring home that latest gold nugget (or rusty axle or whatever...). From experience I know Maggie does and Dan's ME is the same.

                  But, moving still sucks.

We did it twice in the span of 6 months. Love the newness of moving, hate the physical act!

You accomplished more in that shop then most will in a life time. Good luck with the new adventure.

this is from a while ago....before I moved stuff in. This is the shop half of the 30x50 building that was already at the new house. I put in the divider, and insulated and finished this side, along with installing lots of outlets, lights, etc.

I might go on Drag Week this year, depending on how things go. We're taking care of my mom now, so traveling might be on hold for a while.

What's the room in the corner? Take care of mom! If it works out and you can make it I hope to see you along the way.
