  • needles in a haystack.... anybody got em?

ok, so i tried to change the stock column shift lever in the k5
to a cool billet one, didnt fit. oh well, put the stocker back...
wait, why wont it fit now?

a quick look shows the 'shift lever preload spring' broken in
pieces and blocking the way. dug em out, put back stock shifter
but now its floppier than an old man missing viagra.

NO ONE on island has one, ebayers want $50 (WHAT??!?!?!!)
to ship a piece as big as a pencil and an inch long to hawaii.

anybody got one from a GM column? i could use another roll
pin too, that secures shifter to housing collar....

heres a few pics of what im looking for, or i may have to
do a floorshifter and i really dont wanna lose center console.
its the "pin" and "spring" in 2nd pic, 1st pic shows that lil sob's
    location in the column.

can anyone help a fat brother out? im happy to pay.

I am going to the "Jefferson Swap Meet" this weekend. I will look.
But there is probably only going to be complete columns.
What is your price budget for this?
I can remove these pieces later. But that might be the first week in May.

I did catch it, but it's not nice to comment about someone's portliness.

I wonder how much faster he can shift with the billet shift lever.... or maybe it's a weight reduction device?

I am not saying anything, because, between the three of us, we definitely contribute to the Big Boy Club membership rosters!
