Just saw a good friends 2004 Jeep that he picked up awhile back. Cute little Jeep that is most likely borderline worthless for every day transportation. Any way, I was asking if it would have been a Chrysler product in '04 & caught him flat footed. So I had to push it a bit & ask what the breakdown by year was for Jeeps ownership since I admittedly do not know. And he got caught buying something that he was clueless about. Jeep, AMC, Chrysler, etc. So I said that I would ask here since some of you guys seem to be pretty knowledgeable about them. Can anyone fill in the ownership blanks for Jeep over the years?

Chrysler took over in 88 I believe. We had a new 87 Cherokee we bought at local AMC dealer my friend had a new 88 or 9 didn't say AMC anywhere. That 04 was Chrysler.
