Does that mean y'all parked a Plymouth out in a field and you all shot at it with rifles and you won? "Trouble" shooting....

My father won one of those too, but around 69 or 70 in NY.

There was a written test, to qualify for the state competition. At the competition, they did ten things to mess up identical cars, and each team had to fix everything, including getting the car to run to specification. I don't remember everything they did, but I do remember the one thing that no team got at our competition, was the secondary hood latch was removed. All the hoods sprang open, and none of the students noticed! but my shop teacher did...nothing he could do about it, though.

From 1989! Unfortunately I didn't get to go to the hands-on portion. I had already committed (read: paid a lot of money) to go on our Spring Trip for marching band/symphonic band/orchestra. Ryan and John did breezed through the problems....except for one. I think it was a bad fuel pump relay or something like that. Not surprising, we rarely worked on efi stiff in our shop.

I'm still friends with all three of these guys. Good times.

Wow, I forgot all about Plymouth Trouble Shooting Contest. Went to the state completion in 1988 which was Orlando, Fl.
