July of '72.........I had been out of the Navy since '69 (joined my senior year of '67 when I was 17 on the 'kiddy cruiser' program......if you went in at age 17, they discharged you before your 21st birthday)

Had our first son by then

Was going through the first gas crises.........man gas went from 30 cents a gallon to 59 cents ;D
