Quickie fab job

I have this artwork made of old license plates I am donating for an auction to support a charity foundation. Usually it hung on a screw in the wall. But for the auction, I needed a stand. I grabbed a slab of scrap steel, an old leg from some furniture, and a couple screws. Took 15 minutes to taper the leg, tapped it into the hole in the steel, and secured it with 2 screws. Added another screw in the leg (now a post), to hang said artwork from. Spray painted it with black lacquer. Viola!

It's called a Fish'N License - one of a series made by a local artist years ago. Thoughts?

That 55 plate was or is worth money, assume Kansas is like Mo. with year correct plates on vehicles.

In case you were still wondering... The artwork is 27 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 7 inches thick.... Not counting the stand. And it sold for $195 - basically double what I paid Dan for it in 1999.
