Dan - I hope your doing OK with all the rain they say your getting.

Thanks for your concern. The bottom line is that the areas that usually flood did. We picked out our home carefully and we're not in such an area - although we're only about 18 or so feet above sea level. We DO live on a coastal plain, after all. I haven't looked to see how the guy 4 doors (and probably 6 feet further below sea level) down is doing - that house always floods first and flood waters have never come up to our house. He's the 4th or 5th owner and got the house cheap because of the known flooding. They've done work on the wetlands next to his house so maybe that's helped.
