    drive a steel stake into the ground. The difference between forged and cast will be defined by the bruises on your legs. Cast will glance off the stake.... to amateurs, not a big deal but to anyone else... it's a huge deal. Why do I care? because eventually quality dies due to the Walmart masses.

    the first costs a lot more to make but lasts forever.

    When I'm winding a hammer I purposely try to hold the blows down to 1 ton anyway. So I think I'll be ok. ( sarcasm )

    Maybe the old one got work hardened over the years . Maybe the should test a new quality sledge .

    I said I'd only trust HF stuff for things they can't screw up like hammers, anvils, etc.



    they can't even make a good hammer.
