    Because generational garbage is historical? What I don't get is when my parents tell me that I'm going to inherit their 'treasures' .... I know I was a bad kid, but really?!!!!!

      I was lucky on that front. The folks had retired to Florida not long after I graduated from HS and they jettisoned much of the stuff before the move. Dad's table saw was given to my middle brother (I'm the youngest of three) and it eventually came my way - it's the one that you may have seen in some of my posted pics. But that was the only big thing left by the time Mom died - just dishes and pots and pans and such. We sold her modular housing unit (looked like a double wide to me but don't say that to her!) with the furniture and appliances in it so no need to deal with that stuff.

        I'm kind of a punk. My mom has collected the States plate series. I have repeated told her they look like clay pigeons - so please, if she wishes them to remain something other then shards - she should find an appropriate person to donate them to.

          Dual Fuel was actually a tractor that could run on;
          Kerosene,
          Distillate (a 40+ octane gasoline sometimes call "Farm Gas")
          Or Regular Gasoline.

          I think that the dual fuel models were only available for 2-3 years as Distillate didn't catch on well, and wasn't really that much cheaper than regular gasoline. And to run on kerosene, you had to close the radiator shutter to keep the engine temperature close to almost the boiling point. But kerosene did give you a little more power with it's long burn and higher btu's

            While it's not happening for a while , this is the tractor that I've decided to repower with a smaller car/truck engine. I was going back and forth between the 2.5 iron duke 4 or the 2.8 V6 . These were the choices as dictated by my youngest son having two junk fieros . The 2.8 V6 won Click image for larger version

ID:	1361149 out because I found a pretty rare Edelbrock 4 barrel intake . Isn't this the cutest thing you ever seen ? Picked it up used for $100 . Brand new it's $600 for the lower and upper intake. Yeah , that wasn't happening.They made it two pieces because you had the choice of the 4 barrel top part or one that would reuse the dual jet two barrel

              Sorry guys that it's been so long that you've heard from me but 54:hours a week and Mom in the hospital for 3 weeks and the family room, dining room, kitchen renovation ( more like destruction ) leaves me with not much time to come up with something that would be worth talking about. Fun car stuff has been put on hold till everything is at a level that company can come over . Not necessarily done . But this happened wed . Brought home a running tractor. Already had a 50" deck for it . Always wanted a red version. All my others have been yellow . This one's a 782 hydro .

                  Those "Four Wheel Front Assist" tires are a Nice Touch

                    Yeah , It would cut grass but within a half second of turning on the electric PTO clutch it has thrown a belt . I is supposed to have a 88.5" x 5/8 belt to the deck but I'm going to go down to a half .bi have no idea why the PO put ag tires on the front ..... it's not 4 wheel drive .. What really drove me nuts was the fronts were on backward .

                          I do from time to time. I have a very old screw-sized tap and die set that's killer - they had the metallurgy DOWN when they made them. I dig it out from time to time and make (or chase) threads.

                                Alright , maybe it's not a weakness. Looking to be more of a sickness. Picked up the 582 about a week ago. I'll probably get it running and sell it. After that I'll be on the hunt for a 982 . Click image for larger version
