It is that time again. Staying in a different hotel, the food at Sahara was the last straw. Also, everyone has discovered the monorail hack - thus it's a nightmare getting anywhere - even north to Sahara.

As before, I'll offer up to take pics of things any of you want to see. I plan on being there for the building emptying and taking a more circuitous route home (via Sacramento).... figure I might as well get the break since immediately after we close on our new-to-us house in Sandpoint Idaho then get fully sucked into house prep, shop packing, building a new shop and house... all while maintaining all the other stuff I do.

Or maybe I'll get lucky in Vegas... anyway.... this is a week in advance warning for the 'what do you want pictures of?" It starts November 5.

No pictures of my big white ass, please. Thank you in advance.
    Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."

With Brian retiring from BS does this mean that you're only responsible for Chad's drinking? I say duck all the accountability you can.

Chad's a big boy, he can handle his intoxicants just fine. Besides, I'm pretty sure I still have the high bar for drinking among us from the 2010 SEMA adventure. Everclear-addled slush drinks will do that to you.

this is a lot easier said then done. While I do call him McSquatch, McManinthemoon would also be appropriate.

I am off tomorrow at the BC of dawn. And in that vein, snow traction devices are required for about 1/3 my route... whoo hoo.

first stop. Ely.... and to clear things up. the only hotel that I have not stayed in is the one with hourly rental accessories.

what a difference a year makes. Last year, Ely NV was hot and I was in shorts. Today, there's 3" of snow in the back of my truck..... spent the day driving through off and on snow. No roadway problems but it did make it interesting.... Hopefully some of the pictures turned out while I was driving...

Have you been to the train museum in Ely? Great fun and, at least when I went, you can wander thru the restoration shop which includes a lathe big enough to turn locomotive wheels.

If you happen to see the YouTuber Fabrats Willy's jeep wagon , I just want to know what you think of it in person. I don't need any pics . But will be happy to see whatever you shoot .

I can already say that Overlander is going to be a trigger word for me after this year. They have an Overlander experience outside the north hall with the burn pit and Score racers as part of that experience....

SBG's definition of the word "overlander" is a word that can be used interchangeably with the words "Car Camping".... it is not rock crawling, bloated rock crawling, mud pitting, Porsche (in any form)
                              e.g.

Or even Jeep. Car Campers can't afford Jeeps. Simple as that.

the other word of the experience from just walking outside ' 6x6 ' .... there was a time when it was both niche and cool. It is no longer. It's now tired and overdone.
