put my motor back in the car yesterday after a nice little rebuild i did down at my familys speed shop. got everything hooked up and i went down to put the rest of the fluids in. cranked it over and started right up. i was soo stoked i just thought i would share with everyone. i will follow up with pics i a little while. (off to paxton on monday)

unfortunately those rocker arms i put on the motor were brand new CRAP. i had to put the stockers back on because i couldnt get some new ones in enough time. like i said i will have more pics tomorrow.

Looky good. Boo on the chrome water neck. Every chrome SBMopar neck I've ever had leaked.

lets knock on some wood here but i have had this one on this motor for a little more than a year. and no leaks, this is a o ring water neck i got from spectre when i worked there.

I finished a complete rebuild on my chebbie big block a couple months back and was absolutely astounded when it fired on the first try. The last motor I built was prolly back in um, 1979 or so (was a Ford 390 or an old flathead, can't recall which was the last one), so having this new build fire was like christmas coming early

just means that you're thorough and know what you're doing!!

I've EFI'd somewhere around 150-200 cars, and *every* time one of them starts on the very first try, I get a huge sense of accomplishment. It never gets any less.
