I'm not a big fan of rat rods - nor am I big on the megabuck high-end, billet everything streetrod thing either...

My tastes fall somewhere in between, be it a Hot Rod, Muscle car, street machine or just nice driver. A nicely crafted, preferably homebuilt car with decent paint (shiny or suede) and details that relect pride of ownership fits the bill quite fine with me.

my truck was always in primer because i could never afford paint but it was {is }built right
my coupe is a Traditional hot rod but everybody calls it a rat
i drive it everyday it sits out in the rain all summer but it is safe over built and fun lil load but fun
it was in primer till the primer craze hit and then it got painted we did the paint job so it looks like it has been done forever and i drive it still sits out
but it is safe unsafe not cool

the best thing about rat rod shows is the music and the chicks , most of the cars remind me of mr kitty's litterbox
or they are just trying to do what was going on at lead east in 1985 all over again
