I bought this on CD today, and was opening it on the way out the door, and when I opened it up, I found the disc in 2 pieces
Easy return, but I was really hoping to listen to it
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.
That song was originally written by Steve Winwood when he was with The Spencer Davis Group. Ironically, Winwood was only 19 years old when he penned the lyrics to what is a jam band staple song. In my opinion, the SDG version is better than Chicago's, but I like both of them.
Eagle, if you haven't had a chance to listen to Winwood's older stuff, check out "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith and "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" by Traffic. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.
I bought this on CD today ... I was really hoping to listen to it
I realized I did not have their debut Chicago Transit Authority disc in my collection.
So I bought it on iTunes for $9.99
Thanks for reminding me Eagle.
I listened to both back to back. The Chicago version is very good but Spencer Davis' is outta the park. I have a soft spot for the Hammond B3, especially if Mr. Davis is operating it. Or Billy Preston.
And here I thought you were going to tell us you got some action. :D
Zoinks! Velma...Daphne...SCOOB? ;D
Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!
"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."
After talking with this kid and many of the people here for a few years, I knew exaclty what the topic of this thread was and the direction it was gogin to go without even opening it....sad....funny...but sad.
