Someone else I know well insisted on wasting two years of high school in German classes. There is little need in the world for any American who sorta knows German.

what? have you never heard of octoberfest ? that is the only reason I want to learn German, so I can go there.

And...there is little need in the world's grand economy for another drunk American at Oktoberfest.

Wait a minute, that does NOT mean there wouldn't be a need for me personally, to be a another drunk American at Oktoberfest. That, I would love to be. There are places to go that would justify learning the language, just to get the better experience. :D

Btw my limited experience w/ German gals (back when, at a certain point) had me thinking they didn't seem to care if you knew the language much... :-* ;D

I lived in Korea for a year.... so I can get around by myself... get a beer... get laid... Get a beer... Get Laid.... Oh wait I already said that.... did I mention I could get a beer and get laid....

Oh and slapped.... the Ultimate insult in Korea is to tell a girl her momma got not hair on her privates.... ( true story )... so I know that one... and more....
