Saw that. My Mother's favorite movie is Dirty Dancing, one of the first VHS tapes we ever got was that movie. I dug the black 57 he drove.
He was a good actor, Black Dog would be my fav. movie of his.GM G-bodies, because I can't afford a 69 Camaro. -

He recently used to fly out of the facility I work at, at Van Nuys Airport. Him and his wife were the best clients we had. Period. Friendly, down to earth, just good people... Very Sad.Comment

He lived an interesting life. Married to his wife since 1975!! his wife is a pilot, flew him to his treatments. I thought that was pretty cool, they met each other in their teens...
He made some kick ass movies. Red Dawn, Roadhouse were my favorites...

I've driven Patrick a couple of times and like Ryan said, a really friendly, warm guy. He had a ranch west of that big fire we had recently. Showed me around the place. He wasn't a Hollywood type at all. What a shame.

That sucks.
Smoking is bad. Not sure if that was specifically what did him in, but in an earlier interview he talked about smoking like 4-5 packs a day.
He's dancing with Farley in heaven now.

This is really sad. It is too bad since you never heard anything bad about him, no big scandals and the like. I think one of the reasons that he and his wife had such a long and good life together was that they stayed away from Hollywood as much as possible. His ranch seemed to be his real life.Comment

There's a street named after him on Nantucket Island...
