Corruption just irks me to no end, no matter the venue.

I'd say this has been going on for years......the only difference being Renault was caught red-handed/FIA deciding to no longer turn a blind eye to the shenanigans.

    Thanks for the link, Malc!

Re: F1, Renault And "Team Orders"

Team orders are as old as racing. The shocking part here was that the team management allegedly ordered a young driver to crash his car in order to help his team mate win and thus encourage Renault to remain in F1. The Briatore and Symonds have resigned which tends to cause me to believe that its true. What intellectual rot would cause these two to ask a driver to do this?

Hmm, I was waiting the outcome and thought it suspicious when Briatore resigned..

        This could get exciting! http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/180920...l-charges.html

        Thanks Malc. :-*

one time at wilkesboro , terry labonte needed to get his lap back , driving jr johnson's 11 , he simply stoped on the front straightaway , tripping the yellow flag , he then won the race

wow, but I'm not terribly surprised that people would risk their own death (and other's) to win. It just seems to be a "normal" part of life anymore. :-\

Re: F1, Renault And "Team Orders"

Ruling: Briatore banned for an "unlimited" time. Symonds 5 years. Renault receives a disqualification until 2011, but its suspended, they pay for the investigation and make a contribution to the FIA Safety account. Nelsinho has immunity. Any driver that is managed by Briatore loses their licenses, so it kills his management business.
