  • 1970 Dodge Challenger pics AND 1911 Indy Winner.....

Okay somebody asked for more pics of that 1970 Dodge Challenger .... So here ya go.

I got a chance to talk with the folks that brought this car and I was told that it is almost completely original in the parts its got on it right now... that is - those Mini-lite wheels are original and have been raced, the block is original as are as many of the engine componenets as possible. Everything is supposed to be just as when Sam Posey raced it in Trans-Am competition. I asked if I could go cut donuts in the grass wit it. uh, they said no. I asked if they were gonna compete in the burnout contest. They said they didn't think there was one. What cheap show. Geez.

Oh yeah... It was the Dayton Concours De'Elegance, at Carillon Park ...In Dayton Ohio Of course. Oh and for anybody who was on power tour... Those Bell towers across the river from UD Arena is where this show was held. It is VERY historic and has allot of car shows during the year. Next weekend is the Orphan Car Show..... I qualify this year....sniff sniff.....but any way.......... On wit the show.....

Oh and bonus points for knowing what this car is, and its accomplishment.

Was the "original" hidden extra gas tank still under the dash? ;D. Trans-Am cars of any make are good with me. So, what the hell is that yellow thing, Stutz, Mercer, Stude?

I'm liking the exposed gears on the end of the steering shaft. I'd LOVE to take that thing for spin..
