Red Hot Racing is looking to open a website for the team and its sponsors....

We don't know a whole lot about website development yet...

I do webhosting on the side, but maybe you would like to keep it stateside as the dollar/euro-exhange rates aren't favorable for US-folks anymore.

It all starts with a domainname-registration. Choose www-name that's still available.
Then you choose a webhoster which provides you with webspace to link your domainname to.
After that's done you find someone to build you a website and have it put online on your webspace.

Most webhosters can arrange the domainname and hosting into 1 package.
Some provide some tools to build your own website. 'Most' of the time, your site will look cheap when you try to do it yourself as a beginner.

you might try register.com i dont know anything about it but built a site through them, you start out by selecting a web name. i think it cost 12.95 a month?

$12 a month adds up pretty quick IMO. I thought those big domainname-companies would be a lot cheaper than that by now.
Guess I'm cheaper than I thought... lol.

Well anyway, I can register .com-domainnames and provide a simple webhosting-plans starting from $40 a year. I'm not trying to get rich on this stuff. The fact I can get folks some online presence is part of the funfactor.
I'll even install WordPress (blogging system) for free. A personal username is created for you so you can log in yourself and update your site whenever you feel like. Updating your site will be as easy as starting a new topic on a forum.

Website hosting is free on Tripod.com.
The website builder is easy to use - heck, I did it.

For a simple website check my signature, or for something more extensive using the same program check this -

K, let me know if you have time this week to talk about what you are thinking. I have started looking at some online tools and seeing what I can come up for a design.
