I was still really on a budget by the time I could hope to afford any hi-perf car, so I submit the following still-in-the-spirit revisions:
1. Original A/C car, but with the compressor & brkts removed, rubber hoses gone but aluminum tube still there, and the fiberglass evap housing broken out around the pass. side valve cover/header area.
2. The automatic which the car came with, but with B&M stickers on the windows and a shifter that looked like for a four-speed. Also, hit neutral between the gears sometimes to make it sound like a four-speed. Maybe twitch the steering wheel a little bit between shifts so it looks like your machine is a little hard to handle on those shifts.
3. Hydraulic lifters...but definitely wing-nut valve cover hold-downs, so it looks like we adjust them. Also, we've read enough so we can seem to carry on a conversation about adjusting lifters.
4. Posi...Dammit, no posi. We're getting it though.
5. Cold air induction, yes. Wrecked a perfectly good stock hood with a set of tin snips for that.
