As much as I like smoker's, aircraft powered pullers do it for me, The sound of a couple of turbo Allie's thundering their way down track gives me the heebee geebee's

This one has a 8968 cu.in 42 cylinder Zvezda M503A radial engine from a Russian torpedoboat.
The team have convert the engine from diesel to metanol and talk now about 8000-10000 horses...

I like the aircraft powered stuff too. Local puller that used to run the "Rambunctious" tractor used them. He finally had to quit, said he just couldn't compete with the modern stuff HP to HP. He was running enough boost to collapse the rods.

Most of the local pullers that used to run the unlimited multi-engine type tractors that couldn't afford to compete anymore have gone to antique or "Hot Rod" type tractors.

The wheel speed and those giant ass tires are what makes me giddy.

Some of the Pro Stock tractors can generate close to 200mph of wheel speed. Imagine the amount of force trying to pull that huge tire apart at those speeds!
