Long story short, 305 HP, and 30 MPG with the new six-speed automatic, comparable to the V6 Camaro.

now that's sweet. with the camero being heavier, the mustang should be quicker. is this the eco boost direct injection six with out the turbos?
what are they doing with the v-8 at only 315hp? can't have it be that close to the six.

From the sound of it, it kinda is. It's from the same engine family.

It is the 3.7L version currently being used in some Lincolns at 273 hp, with a few top end tweaks for more power. First RWD application for it.

The V8 in the GT will be around 400 hp for 2011, that's when the new "Coyote" 5.0L is due.
