  • Free Ford Engine parts

A guy at work has some 289 and 302 SBF parts that he is offering for free to anyone who wants them. There is a block, crank, rods, heads, and various small pieces. I do not know what condition they are in other than that he at one point had a motor assembled and in his 66 Mustang and was driving it around. He pulled it out and was going to rebuild it, bought some parts, then bought a complete engine and stuck it in. The parts are in Reading, PA. I would prefer that if you want them you come pick them up. No shipping on anything that is heavy like the block or heads or crank, small parts you pay the shipping.

There is an "Edelbrock high-rise aluminum intake" that he is offering for $25. I'll try get a part number from him for that.

I'd for sure take the intake for that price - plus your cost to ship it.

as for the rest of it - I've got enough old iron small block stuff around...

if it's a standard or +.030 bore 289 block in good condition
            - you'd be well served to take the stuff home and list it on ebay
            - some guy restoring a car looking for that date code would make it worth your while to buy that block.
There's always something new to learn.

He is saying this morning that the part number cast into the intake is "FB4". You Ferd Fellers know what that is? I sure don't.

                  The intake is gone.

Anybody want any of the other parts?
