      Matt's right. I'll wait for a couple more posts before I post the answer. As a kid I had NO idea that this could be a field of study.

          OK. It's the study of how you measure stuff - temperatures, pressures, differences between stuff, speeds, loads, etc. I did a lot of this at the EPA but I always felt like I was guessing. It would have been way cool to have actual training and real knowledge. Guess I had some of that from the School of Hard Knocks but there was SO much I know I didn't (don't) know.
