So I dove into a big project this weekend that I have been dreading. I replaced all the body mount in my Monte Carlo SS. It went fairly good, actually better than anticipated. When I installed the bushings I greased them Like I did with all my other polyurethane bushings I have installed. After finishing the job I got to thinking that maybe I should not have greased them as this might allow the body to try to "slide" around on the mounts? Unfortunately hindsight is 20/20. What are your thought? Did I screw up? Should I take them out and clean the grease off them? Thanks in advance!!!!

Re: Did I screw up by greasing my body bushings?
Grease is normally put on polyurethane bushing because they are very prone to squeaking. It is a very very thick clear grease. ( I have never seen anything thicker This grease has always come with my energy suspension bushings. These body mounts were prothane, which I bought to save a little money. I figured they didnt include the grease so I just used what I had of the polyurethane grease. And no as far as the starter clamp and the muffler bearing I was very carefull to keep the grease off of them.
