    Re: Budget Fast cars

IMO, and I've brought this up at other forums, but the P71 CV's are good platforms
on which to play. The full frames are pretty stiff, and the suspension is well sorted out.
The 4.6 is small, but has alot of aftermarker support now, and the 5.4 will bolt in.
Thanks to the popularity of the Muastang, there are muany upgrades that can be
made to make them even better.

I agree the Crown Vics are excellent cars for many purposes. My Father had a 00 that we played with a little bit, mostly intake and exhaust, pulleys, shift kit, etc. Nice big comfortable quiet cruiser that performed well, and knocked down 27 mpg. Not to mention people get out of the way on the highway.

A budget fast car will need to be lite, with a big engine. A-arm suspension because they are so much easier to work on, and a big turbo and a blowthru carb will make it even faster.
