      Re: PGD?

      THE LIST HAS BEEN POSTED!

HOT ROD is “where it all began,” as the first magazine to cover the hot rod culture. Since that time, HOT ROD has evolved into a brand devoted to everything from hot rods to restomods, barn finds to project cars and everything in between.

        Re: PGD?

        Here ya go!

Below is the list of the 69 participants invited to the 2008 Pump Gas Drags in Memphis. Each invitee has been sent an email, except for 3 of you that didn't include an email address. We will either snail-mail the invite to you, or call on the phone. But you're probably not reading this anyway since, ya know, you don't have email.

Remember that nearly everyone who entered by the deadline was accepted, so the usual "You picked too many Camaros" or "why no AMC's?" will fall on deaf ears this year! Also, we're aware of the early problems with emailing entries, but at least 68 of you figured it out, so if yours didn't make it through...sorry.

        Now, without further ado.....

          Re: PGD?

Lots of interesting cars there, and also lots of repeat players. Too bad so few signed up.

I've got ZERO inside info so don't consider this anything even close to official, but I'm betting that this is the last PGD.

I was hoping in a couple years I would have something competetive for Drag Week. I hope they still hold the event when my time comes!

Did I catch a "Grand Cherokee" on that list? ??? ???

                      That could be interesting.

                        Re: PGD?

I didn't even bother to enter, didn't think I had a chance of being picked again, kinda like last year when I thought I was gonna get in due to the strong showing the year before.. I guess I should of entered, but I was a little disenchanted after last year.. Think there coulda been any hope for me getting in DF?? ???

I guess so...they invited everyone who asked!

Drag Week is more important, IMO.

Better organization would definitely help. Both PGD and Drag Week, IMO. Gotta get the info out there in time, not excuses.
