    Re: DeLorean abandoned in forest

I was gonna say, transaxle-schmansaxle.....tunnel the thing and put the engine up-front where it belongs!

    :D....all in jest.

    A snotted-up LS engine with a 5-or-6-speed transaxle...that could be interesting for road-course or open-road applications.

Uh, Jim, it IS a "real" DeLorean.......LOL

I thought the Northstar is an easy swap for these cars.

Now that I think about it, yes. The Northstar and the LS4 5.3 V8 already sport transaxles, would be real easy. Both can get snotty quick, and the LS4 has the additional benefit of cylinder shutdown.

Only bad side is no factory manual...though, there is a video floating around of a early 2000's Grand Prix sporting a Northstar, 5spd, and FWD...
        Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."
