Re: Chevy Convertibles
The reference to my own dad - it was his brother, my uncle Albert, actually. He had a cushy job in Alabama and would come over to see us every year during fishing season when I was a little kid, in his brand-new Chevy. He would trade for a new Impala or whever every year the very week the new model came out. He never got a single one paid for - like an enless lease these days.
He'd drive to SC from AL and every one of those brand-new Chevys would break down in our driveway, every time. He didn't cuss in front of us kids so all he'd say, every year, like clockwork, was, "DadGUM Chevrolet!!!!!"
And then he'd get another one. I still haven't figured that one. Guess I never will.
