Physically speaking, there is no such thing as nothing-- just varying degrees of space between particles or collections of particles. And if it is nothing, you can't label it as nothing or it is something-- its nothing. :D

Now I'm getting reconfused about the whole issue because one time there was a thing I consciously decided to do nothing about. So that's what I did about it - nothing.
And when asked what did I do about it my answer was, "Nothing." So that by itself was an action. I "did" nothing. That's what I "did," so it must have been "something" after all.
Talk about 'nothing' getting complicated... imagine you asking your wife :D "what's the matter", and she just says "Nothing" :
